SPECTRA-1 Open Path Gas Detector

SPECTRA-1 Open Path Gas Monitor – Industrial and Environmental

Spectra-1, a portable open path gas monitor is the first product to use this “core” TDL spectrometer. The enclosure for Spectra-1 was selected for its resistance to extreme shock and vibration. For permanent continuous monitoring installations, the remote monitoring (via Ethernet) of Spectra-1 performance could be a useful tool to ensure correct system operation. RS-232 data communications and USB memory stick data downloading are used.
SPECTRA-1 DSP Enhanced TDLAS Core

PKL Technologies Inc. has developed a Tuneable Diode Laser spectrometer “core”, which can be readily adapted to suit many applications. This “core” TDL spectrometer uses an industrial embedded computer, along with a custom low noise laser diode driver circuit. The DSP enhanced gas detection methodology has reduced the analog electronic components required by typical laser spectrometer devices. This reduces system complexity, ultimately lowering spectrometer costs.
Detectable gases include: HF, HCN, O2, C2H2, C2H4, C2H6, H2O, CH4, NH3, CO, CO2, and H2S.
